The U.S. government provides technical assistance to improve the availability and quality of key human services throughout Indonesia.

In support of effective and accountable local governance, to address conflict and to consolidate national-level democratic reforms, the U.S. government has dedicated $129 million over five years (2004-2009).
Through USAID, the U.S. is working with Indonesians to ensure that future generations enjoy an increasingly prosperous, democratic and stable country.
The U.S. government is one of the largest contributors to relief and reconstruction efforts in Indonesia’s Aceh Province, following the devastating 2004 earthquake and tsunami.
The Millennium Challenge Corporation Threshold Program comprises a $55 million grant over two years focused on controlling corruption and improving immunization.
