Overview

The U.S. government provides technical assistance to improve the availability and quality of key human services throughout Indonesia. Efforts support maternal and neonatal/child health, prevention and control of priority infectious disease threats, such as multi-drug resistant TB, HIV/AIDS, malaria, and avian influenza, and increased access to safe drinking water, sanitation and hygiene.

The United States Government through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) will provide an additional US$100,000 to support efforts to improve hygiene, provide safe water and protect the health of affected people in flood-ravaged Jakarta and the surrounding communities.
